YOUR INVITATION TO THE FUTURE
(You Can Own Your Own Internet News &
Information Portal)
TODAY more than ever, we live in an information society. We are all concerned and frustrated with current events. We are thirsting for understanding and knowledge. We are all seeking answers. We are not content with our economy, government waste, the tax system, the judicial system, the crime rate, elected officials or government restraints on businesses. The demand for information has made News/Talk Radio the number one format in most markets in the United States. It has caused television to replace "shoot-em-up" and "who-dun-it" programs with programs such as "20/20", "Night Line", "60 Minutes", "Prime Time", "Lehrer Report", and "Crossfire."
THE INTERNET IS NOW THE NUMBER ONE SOURCE OF
INFORMATION
FOR THE 21st CENTURY.
Some facsimile of the Internet will eventually
replace radio, television and newspapers. Many radio and television stations
are already audio and video streaming on the Internet, and almost all newspapers
are published on the Web. Within one year, automobiles will be equipped
with Internet capability. There are already over 400 Internet-Only Radio
stations on the World Wide Web.
Over 60 percent
of North America uses the Internet. It is used to communicate, to
learn, to shop and to buy. It is as integral a part of our lives
as the telephone. The latest study shows that over 72 million people
use the Internet from home, while 46 million use it from work and 28 million
from school. The numbers are growing daily.
WHAT IS AN INTERNET/WEB PORTAL
A typical Web Site generally has information about a specific topic, service, product, idea, view, plan, cause, advice, etc. They are normally self-serving. There are many types, such as business, governmental, organizational, informational, political, medical, institutional, educational, etc. The majority of the most expensive and lavishly designed web sites attract very few visitors on a daily or even frequent basis.
An Internet Portal is a tool or index that helps World Wide Web users and information seekers find what they are looking for easier and faster. An individual may visit Internet portals that they find informative and useful many times each day. An average web site has very few visits per month, while Internet portals can have 100's of thousands to millions of visits a day.
An Internet portal, or Web portal (both meaning the same) can be called a web site, but a web site is not necessarily an Internet portal. Internet portals are developed to attract visitors to the site. While access is generally free, the sites generally offer the visitor a wealth of information and assistance. Most Portals earn revenue through the sale of advertisements in the form of banners at the top, at the bottom, or around the information that attracts visitors to the site. Sometimes there are advertisements in the information, and/or "pop-up" display windows appear. Some Internet portals earn money by tracking statistical data from those who visit the site. Many web sites (for a fee) advertise and/or have links on Internet portals to attract visitors to their sites. The more useful the Internet portal, the greater the number of visitors and thereby the greater amount of revenue that can be generated.
HOW WE BECAME THE BEST SOURCE OF NEWS AND INFORMATION
It took two years of extensive study, research and design to configure the web design that we presently have. There was much trial and error, as there was no example to follow. To become a viable portal, we had to come up with an innovative site with the best of the best reasons that would attract repeated viewers. That was accomplished by having an easy flow of news in the center of the site's front page with direct access to the links, instead of viewers having to click to many pages for information. This concept also allows for the addition of advertising space on both sides of the news, instead of just one or two banner ads. Adding the news archives that can find stories by date, name or topic was the clincher.
Once the site concept was developed, we had to put together the best news gathering team to find and upload the news to the site. We search the major news sources and extract the hottest stories for easy reading and reference with a direct link to the source. Finding and uploading the news twice a day became a 24/7 process that was not foreseen, but proved to be very effective in attracting viewers. Adding the "VOA View" added spice and fun reading to the stories, even to those who do not share the exact same view or philosophy on every issue. We added a "Daily Commentary" (Monday-Friday).
Research and development have been ongoing and new ideas are being developed constantly. In 2002 we have introduced several additional features that will increase substantially the potential revenue productivity of the webs sites. The additions are a classified section, wherein pictures of the items for sale can be added; shoppers guide section, whereby merchants can offer discount coupons and have the ability to publish pictures of their products directly to their individual advertising page; public opinion section, whereby the general public can publish their own opinions and comments directly to the web site; public officials section, where elected officials and government agency heads can publish public service information directly to their designated page; polls, which can be easily changed by the web site owner as often as desired; and e-mail, whereby the public can obtain free e-mail addresses; and ability to send the web site to others by e-mail. The information provided in these additions will also increase the number of visitors to the web site.
We also originate our own NEWS/TALK programming over the Radio (WASO AM 730) and audio stream over the Internet. This radio programming is available to our affiliate sites.

WHAT DO WE WANT
We have realized that national portals are void of local touch, flavor, information and interests; local portals are void of the magnitude and dynamics of what a national portal can offer. Therefore, we retooled our web design so that it can be duplicated for any city. Our national and world news gathering combined with local news, information and views makes a much more desirable and interesting Portal.
Our Internet Portal's can be used to enhance an individuals present business, become a very profitable business of itself, or both. Discussing the possibilities with one of our consultants would be a wise investment of your time.
We seek to sell you one of our Internet Portals. It can have all the same features as webnetinfo.com. You own it completely. Take the time to read all the information herein. We can provide the up-linking, hosting, maintenance and R&D for the site. We can also provide all the national and world news gathering and publishing for the site. We provide a special section and links for you to provide the local news and information (obituaries, help wanted, swap shop, community calendar, high school scores and political to mention a few) to the site. You can also provide information about your existing business or profession. This information is already readily available and easily obtainable. We show you where to obtain it and how to upload it to your web site.
In the past, providing information to the public was limited to first newspapers, then radio, then television. Now, the World Wide Web allows any individual and/or group to avail news and information to the world. Providing news and information to the general public is a very serious and important responsibility. An individual can obtain considerable credibility, authenticity and fame in the community by being the provider and operator of a professional and quality News and Information Portal. We have no control over your web site, and you can name it what ever you want.
SPECIAL NOTE
The Internet Portal has various optional features. The news gathering is the most important feature. Though very dynamic features, the "VOA VIEW" accented in red at the end of some articles, our "Daily Commentary" and Radio broadcast can be omitted for those who want to have a politically correct site. While opinionated, many people enjoy the "VOA VIEW", our daily commentary and the broadcasts, even if they disagree with the presented opinion and philosophy. In fact, our name or any reference to our providing the news and information doesn't have to appear anywhere on your site, and people would not even know that we are uploading your news. This is your call that can be added or deleted at any time.
Presently our Radio broadcast has some mention
of Louisiana and contains local commercials. That will soon change
to all national and world content, including the morning news. We
will also be broadcasting interviews with our various affiliates on an
equal rotation bases. However, we are now
willing and able to take emergency breaking news live "on air" reports
at any time from our affiliates (we provide you with an emergency "hot
line" number).
WHY SHOULD YOU OWN A NEWS INFORMATION PORTAL
This is a tremendous
opportunity for anyone
who has ever desired financial independence, especially
someone who already provides a service or product to businesses.
The financial requirements are minimum; the financial risk is minimum;
the potential income is high; it does not require a lot of technical expertise;
and it gives an individual tremendous power and prestige.
Some examples:
A. Insurance
Agency Owner - The owner of an independent
insurance agency has a built in client
base to tap into,
and an existing sales force. The new advertising accounts would be
a source to
tap into for insurance.
All those who visit the web site could be potential prospects.
B. Certified
Public Accountant - The CPA already has
a built in client base to tap into. The
advertising accounts
would be a source to tap into for accounting and tax work.
C. Radio
Station Owner - A self-serving web site
will not draw visitors. Those who do not integrate
their radio station operations with an Internet informational portal, and
initiate audio streaming, will
have a hard time competitively survive. The ability to sell Internet
advertising allows the radio to
compete with newspapers. In many cases the web site will end up yielding
more revenues than a
small locally owned radio station. The radio station and the web
site can cross promote each other,
and allow for combo sales.
D. Periodical
Owner - The same information can be set
up on the Internet, with easier access to more
people, at a lessor cost. The News & Information added to what
is already provided will add greater
dynamics to the present product. The periodical and web site can
cross promote each other.
E. Weekly
Newspaper - A News Portal would be a tremendous
addition by being able to provide daily
news and information. The newspaper and the web site can cross promote
each other, and allow for
combo sales. The weekly newspaper will be at a serious disadvantage
if someone else has a daily
updated news portal in the same market. A competitive news portal
can publish the weekly
newspaper's information on their web site at no cost, as long as they give
attribution.
F. Public
Relations Agency - This becomes a very
good way to promote your clients and keep them
before the public
on a daily basis with articles, announcements, testimonials, itinerary.
All those
who visit the
web site provides exposure to the firm's unique abilities, and thereby
lead to potential
prospects.
The site offers tremendous for advantages for political clients (during
a campaign, and
continuous exposure
for the official during his/her term in office, i.e.. appearances, activities,
position
papers, accomplishments,
etc.).
G. Advertising
Agency - This is a natural. Having
a built in client base gives the agency a edge. There
can be no conflicts
of interests due to lack of objectivity. An impression (the number
of people that
visits a web site)
is not subjective -- it's verifiable. The advertising client pays
by the number or
impressions, regardless
the web site.
H. Elected
Official - Owning a news
and information medium provides an elected official personal
financial independence;
and a powerful media outlet to keep his/her constituents properly informed,
as well as to
counter any bias act from the other media, or political opponent. 1.)
The official does
not have to fear the regular media, and can counter any view that they
may have. In fact, they
would have faster access to the people than any other medium. 2.)
The official can create political
alliances by providing space on their web site for other elected officials
to have their own
commentary and information section. 3.) The official's name and views
are before the public 24/7.
4.) The web site can enhance a political campaign and those of others
during election time.
5.) The web site can bring in a continuous stream of advertising
revenues. Advertising on the web
site is tax deductible to supporters and they receive a direct benefit.
The official can ethically use
the revenues personally and/or for his/her political campaign. Owning
a web site of this nature is an
ethical money making sideline. All
political pundits say that the Internet will be the
political
battleground of the future. There is no reason
for anyone to visit a political web
site more than once -- a News & Information Portal is visited daily
-- giving the elected
official considerable exposure and credibility.
HOW MONEY IS MADE
Income will depend on site promotion and sales
efforts. The site can be promoted by bartering advertising with television
and radio stations, outdoor sign companies and printers (yard signs and
flyers). Allowing high schools free link pages on the site to post
their athletic scores, PTA meetings and other activities will bring people
to the site. The same holds true for organizations such as the Chamber
of Commerce, the Better Business Bureau and the Red Cross. Word of
mouth will escalate growth.
POTENTIAL ADVERTISER SOURCES
Every business or
professional practitioner is a potential advertiser. While
there are many means of advertising, the World Wide Web can be the most
cost-effective. With businesses and professionals setting up web
sites daily, they need a way to promote them. Neither newspapers,
radio, nor television can provide an advertiser a link directly to their
web site. Another web site can. There are more small businesses
than there are large businesses. The small businesses generally can't
afford the costs of continuous newspaper, radio and television advertising.
They can afford to advertise on a local popular Internet portal.
The sources of leads are numerous. Here
are a few:
A. Any business that has
a web site that seeks exposure by not only being seen on an Internet Portal
that
is visited by many each day, but also
by having a direct link from the portal to their site.
B. Those who advertise in
the yellow pages will find the portal's "Shoppers Guide" could be considerably
cheaper and more advantageous because
of the fact that there are multiple promotions to the area of
the site, open billboards and exposure
from visitor contact to adjoining classifications.
C. The local newspaper's
classified section is a great source for leads for those who are selling
or renting
real-estate. Charging someone
$50 for a 50 word ad for a month is a lot less expensive than a one day
listing in most newspapers. The
same for help wanted ads, auto sales, etc.
D. Political activists who
want their views known and politicians who seek continuous name recognition
can setup special sections on the site
for a reasonable fee.
E. Civic
and nonprofit organizations can setup special fundraising events for a
reasonable fee.
YOUR COST
It is not easy or cheap to build and maintain
a Web site of this magnitude (www.webnetinfo.com).
Once
built, there are the costs of a.) Up-linking/hosting/maintaining/R&D;
b.)
National and world news gathering and publishing to the Web site; c.)
local news and informational gathering; d.)
Site promotion. Then, there is the sale of advertising.
Even if you knew where to start and had the
in-house expertise to do "a" and "b", it would be a very expensive proposition.
Once built, the Internet Portal is yours, even if you decide to stop using
our services. We do not require a lengthy service contract. Why? We are
confident that no one can provide a better service, nor could you do it
in-house for anywhere near our cost to you.
The cost for one of our web sites is dependent
on the extent of capabilities. Our web sites are designed to be able
to expand their capabilities. We offer as much as 90% financing,
with no credit checks and the only collateral required is the web site
itself. In fact, we are so sure of our web sites revenue capabilities,
if you fail to pay, we will accept the return of the web site with no other
recourse against you for not paying.
TOTAL INDEPENDENCE
You own the Internet Portal. You can move it to another server, at will. Naturally, VOA would not be responsible for the functionality of the web site if moved to another server. You may choose to provide your own national and world news and information gathering. This is not a franchise. There are no common or shared logos, trademarks, secrets, names, supervision, liabilities, responsibilities or obligations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Review all our materials and ask us any questions that you may have. We reserve the right to reject anyone. There are essentially two functional areas in running a successful web portal:
A. Administrative
- Contacting the various organizations, officials and agencies
for local news and
information for the Internet Portal.
With training, that information is gathered, input and
uploaded to your Web Portal. There
is also billing. This can be done by you, your spouse, or you
can hire someone to do the work for
you. It takes about one hour a day for an average size city.
We provide
full training.
B. Sales
- This requires the contacting of businesses for ads on the
Web Portal. This includes contacting
professional companies and individuals
for special informational reports to be added to the left side
navigation bar. If you don't have
that ability or don't want to do sales, you have to hire someone to do
it for you. Some cities would
require more than one salesperson. The suggested compensation
would be 20% commission.
THE NEXT STEP
Ask yourself three questions: a.) Does VOA offer the broadest, most up-to-date and easiest to read news gathering than any other web site (check abc.com, cbs.com, msnbc.com, your local newspaper's site, or other such sites)? b.) Are there enough reasons other than national and world news to go to VOA designed web site? c.) Would you use the VOA portal as your favorite news and information source? If the answer is no to any of these questions, don't consider doing business with us.
If your answer is yes, then you realize how others will feel, and why having your own portal could enhance your financial fortune. Show your friends and family members the site and get their reactions when you tell them you may own one in your city. Next, we would like to come and visit you personally. Once you have had all your questions satisfactorily answered, a visit to the home office for an on-site review of our facility, manuals, and operational and procedural techniques would be appropriate. If we find each other compatible, we can review and negotiate a contract.
WHY WOULD YOU HESITATE
Many are not familiar with computers, nor do they understand the tremendous rapid growth of the Internet. Some fail to appreciate the tremendous professional and financial opportunity that owning their own site can bring. Others just don't take the time to investigate the entire opportunity.
There are those who find this a great idea and start thinking that they could set up their own web site without us. The latter makes no sense. There is no way you can set up a web site of this magnitude for less than what we are charging, not even close. There is also the matter of how long it would take. Then, there is the news gathering service and web hosting. You can gather your own news, but not for the less than what we would charge you. The future has no limitations as to what we can accomplish. The more questions you ask us -- the better understanding you will have regarding this very lucrative and rewarding opportunity.
BUSINESS, PROFESSIONAL, POLITICAL & CIVIC ORGANIZATION WEB SITES
For those who don't want, or need a full revenue earning news and information Internet Portal -- we now offer the same type of web design for businesses, professionals, politicians, civic organizations and special causes. Essentially the format would be the same. There would be the ability to have various informational links, advertising and upload what ever information you desire to the web site. The only difference is that we would not provide national and world news gathering to the site. However, you may link to what ever news and informational sources you want, including our local and national news portals. In fact, we would pay you for doing so by providing a discount depending on the potential visits to your web site. Ask one of our consultants for full details and price options.
IN CONCLUSION
Seeing is believing. You can own your own Internet News and Information Portal for a very small investment. If you allow us the time to explain our entire program, you will find it very rewarding. We do not expect you to take our word for anything. Give us a chance to provide you with information, do your research and make your own decision whether doing business with us could be profitable. We would like to meet with you as soon as possible. This is not a formal offer, or an acceptance agreement. You can call us at 504-455-9956 for more information and contract specifics. Three out of every five people in the United States have access to
the Internet at home or at work, with a total of 168 million people connecting
to the Web in January, according to a report by Nielsen/NetRatings released
on Thursday. The number of people with access to the Web at home or at

Now A Vital Part Of Teens' Lives
The Internet has become a vital piece of teen communication, sometimes
even displacing the telephone, a study released this week by the Pew Internet
and American Life Project shows. About 17 million kids - or 73 percent
- ages 12 to 17 use the Internet. Today's teens are the first to grow up
around PCs, so it's no surprise that many are computer literate by the
time they enter school. Close to 13 million teenagers use instant messaging,

GAIN FOR WOMEN SHOPPERS
Women have jumped ahead of men for the first time in using the Internet
to do their holiday shopping, according to a study released yesterday.
No longer the domain of young, wealthy white men, the Internet has also
attracted more minority shoppers, the study said. Overall, 29 million American
shoppers bought gifts online during the 2001 holiday
season, spending an average of $392, up from $330 last year.
A quarter of all U.S. Internet users did some of their buying online this
year, versus one-fifth of them last year. Of those, 58 percent were women.
